Zakir Hussain Advocate Zakir Hussain Advocate is a Pakistani Urdu language columnist, blogger and popular advocate for social, political and religious inequality in Pakistan. Mr Zakir recently passed away at the age of 26 due to an unfortunate car accident. Born in Karachi on October 10, 1991 to Dr Khalid Abdullah Sayeedi who was a renowned lawyer of national repute and Dr Yasmeen Sayeedi who was also an academician he grew up in the environment of academics. He graduated from law services university Peshawar with honors in 2012 after completing his education there since 2002 till 2010 when he left for London School Of Economics where he pursued his studies towards obtaining post graduate degree which included Masters Degree obtained in 2013. He was the eldest child of his parents and he also had two younger brothers and one elder sister. He was married to Maria during 2013 and had a baby daughter who passed away in late 2015. While taking care of his family he always took interest in his studies and at the same time worked as a private lawyer and became very popular with his legal approaches which were also very witty and funny at times. Zakir Hussain Advocate was an advocate for social, political and religious inequality. He struggled for basic rights of not only men but also of women. Zakir Hussain Advocate was a columnist for many newspapers and magazines, he wrote on topics related to social issues, criminal cases and religious issues. He was the author of the famous column "Deedar" which was published in Newsline Magazine since June 2014. He also published his own book namely "Aur Raasta" in December 2014 which consisted of all his columns published in different newspapers during 2013-2014.In March 2015 Mr Zakir was the lawyer of a case regarding the constitutionality of Rangers operation in Karachi alongside with Abdul Latif Nizamani Advocate/Advocate High Court.. The Supreme Court of Pakistan has admitted the constitutional petition filed by Mr Zakir Hussain Advocate which was submitted on behalf of Citizen Super League, Citizens Action Committee and MQM UK. The case sent to the Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry for further proceedings. Supreme Court admitted the writ petition filed by Zakir Hussain against Karachi Destruction, Illegal Killings and other Failings of Law Enforcement Agencies. Regarding this issue various petitions were presented before Supreme Court of Pakistan regarding illegal arrests, illegal detentions and other issues faced by Karachiites according to their peaceful political beliefs which were not being dealt with in any kind of way. Zakir Hussain Advocate was the counsel for MQM UK in this case and at the time of his death he had started to give lectures and presentations on various topics and was working on a book about Balochistan.
